I can't believe my little girl is 7! Not so little anymore :) She invited her cousin, Deillya for a sleepover. The girls made butterflies, ate spaghetti and blueberry pie and watched a movie before falling asleep. The next morning they played then ate blueberry waffles and scrambled eggs before DeeDee had to go home. They had a blast! On Sunday, we had the family party at the park. Everyone got to make their own banana split and the kids played the afternoon away.
Last week we had some fun at the Scottsbluff County Fair. We met up with my family and looked at all the exhibits, animals, live events and the girls got carousel rides at the end. It was so much fun!
Update~I'm out of my immobilizer and in a neoprene brace that allows alot more movement. I still can't fully bend my knee but that will come with time. I start PT on Friday and am anxious to get a move on. They will determine if I need surgery during PT. I hope my knee doesn't keep dislocating itself...please keep me in your prayers!
I dislocated my knee cap on July 18, 2009. I am currently in an immobilizer until August 4, 2009 when they check to see if I have healed enough to move into a different brace and start PT.
My mom has come out every day since the accident minus Sundays to help with the kids, laundry, etc. I really appreciate her help through all this. I am also thankful to have a hubby who can cook! He's done an awesome job keeping us all fed :) I'm starting to get antsy...last night I begged Matt to let me help with the dishes...yeah, that's how bored I am. I did some laundry today but the longer I'm standing on my leg, the more it swells so I have to take it slow. I'm hoping next weeks appt. goes well enough for this immobilizer to be taken off. Thank for all your prayers!
